The Council of Catan has sent you on a great voyage across the seas. Bloodthirsty pirates, helpful villagers, fishing grounds teeming with life—this is what you can experience with up to six players, thanks to this expansion for “Catan – Pirates & Explorers.”

Pirates & Explorers introduces innovative principles, such as the free movement of ships around the board, ships that can transport settlers, fish, spices, and more. By recruiting the right crew, you will be able to take on the pirates. You will be able to freely exploit the fishing grounds and bring your cargo back to port. The villagers you meet will allow you to trade spices and provide you with crucial information.

A modular principle based on a series of scenarios will allow you to smoothly learn all the new features introduced by this expansion.

Warning: the basic Catan game and the “Pirates & Explorers” expansion are required to use this expansion.

New “Refresh” 2025 version: new card artwork (front and back), hexagons, and color changes for some tokens. Please note: Compatibility with older editions is not complete and will require some adjustments.
